The Due Baci Story
Ciao, and welcome to Due Baci Publishing!
A heartfelt celebration of language, family, and heritage.
Founded by Benita Salvatore, a proud Italian-Australian mother of three, educator, and self-published author, Due Baci was born from a deep love of storytelling and a desire to preserve the beauty of Italian culture for future generations.
With a background in education and a lifelong passion for language, Benita began creating bilingual children’s books that spark curiosity, connection, and pride. Each story blends Italian and English, helping little ones explore the richness of Italian words, traditions, and everyday life — all while making learning joyful and meaningful.
The name Due Baci — meaning two kisses — represents a cherished Italian custom: one kiss on each cheek. It’s a simple, affectionate gesture that captures everything this brand stands for — love, family, and togetherness, and it's exactly how Benita's three small children greet her mother (their beloved Nonna) whenever they see each other!
Every book is thoughtfully written and vibrantly illustrated to be more than just a learning tool — it’s a keepsake. A piece of family heritage to be shared, treasured, and passed down.
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, teacher, or simply someone who values culture and connection, Due Baci Publishing invites you to slow down, share stories, and celebrate the joy of growing up between languages and traditions.
Because at the heart of every page are two little kisses — a reminder that love and language go hand in hand.
